North Korea's Hotel of Doom

As Asia has increased in sculpture during the last 30 years, with city planners across the continent, designing and building a bigger, bolder and taller buildings-North Korea started their own projects to raise the morale in 1987, Hotel Ryugyong ..
Today's dominate the sky in the Republic of ascetic capital Pyongyang, an empty shell that has not been completed, and what many architects claim to be the ugliest building in the world or just the Hotel of Doom.
North Korea's history can be symbolized in the history of Hotel of Doom. In 1993, just ran out of funding, as a nation struggling mass food shortages and some international trade sanctions. Hotel must of stood there, rotting like the millions of people hungry, and many people just died of starvation.

Once the building is open may be too late, but the building itself would become an enduring symbol of the fate of North Korea and its leader's ambitions. Many say it is "white" elephant, but destined to be a "great symbol" to the leaders of the worlds remaining Stalinist state.
North Korea may be isolated, do not trust and even feared. But the Hotel of Doom, once completed is living proof of how exiles International and leadership can survive - through starvation, and sanctions. And finally, the completion of the building must symbolize a victory for the hierarchy of a regime - just because of this.
